What is the powder used for Metal 3D Printing?

Flowability: A key characteristic for powders made of metal is their possibility of flowing through the 3D printer. Materials that have higher flowability are able to be controlled with greater ease and create solid layers and products. Additionally, they tend to make less pieces with irregular layers. The better flowability of powder makes it easier to produce a metal 3D item.

Steel 316L powder Stainless

Stainless steel 316L powder has been thoroughly examined to understand its impact on AM. It is a representative material, so results can be extrapolated to other metallic alloys. The powder's size distribution, as determined by the 4S process is 9.43 mm. Its particle shape factors (PSF) is in the vicinity of one. The properties of the powder are described in Table 1.

Titanium

Niobium powder is a fantastic material for 3D printing using metal since it is bio-inert and is simple to process.
