Product Performance of PPH Propylene glycol phenyl ether:

PPH is mainly used as an efficient film-forming agent for all kinds of waterborne latex and disperse coatings, especially in gloss and semi-gloss coatings.
PPH is a strong solvent of vinyl acetate, acrylic ester, styrene-acrylic ester, and other polymers, water solubility is small (lower than the volatilization speed of the water, help to swell particles), to ensure that it is fully absorbed by latex particles, the formation of excellent continuous film, so as to give latex paint the best cohesion and color development.
Compared with ordinary film-forming AIDS such as TEXANOL(alcohol ester -12), the dosage of this product can be reduced by 30-50% under the conditions of complete forming of the paint film, same luster, fluidity, anti-flow hanging, display color, scrub resistance and so on.
PPH has a strong coalescing ability, comprehensive film-forming efficiency increased by 1.5-2 times, production cost decreased significantly.
Its lowest film-forming temperature (MFT) can reach -1.
After product optimization, this product can be directly added to any stage of paint making, we suggest adding in the emulsion before, or add in the pigment grinding stage or add 50% each, so that this product and other ingredients in the formula system is easy to match, better emulsification dispersion, without affecting the stability of pigments and so on.

In textile applications, used in the dyeing process of synthetic fibers, as a fuel solvent and carrier, can also be used in coatings as inks and resins solvent. Used as an auxiliary surfactant in non-foaming formulations to improve the detergency of hard surface cleaners. Because of its good miscibility, moderate volatilization rate, good cohesion,and coupling ability, low surface tension, it is widely used in automotive and automotive repair coatings, electrophoretic coatings, industrial paint and ship, container, wood coatings.
